Sunday evening, after being totally defeated by the rain while watching Foo Fighters’ amazing performance, an overflowing bowl of edamame made quite a delightful snack for the trip home. It surely helped take my mind off all the mud that was up passed my ankles.
The Edamame from Sola had a soy cumin hemp seed vinaigrette that added a nice savory and nutty flavor.
Sola restaurant is known for its contemporary American cuisine with Hawaiian and Asian influences. Chef Wallack’s menu features seasonal dishes using local ingredients while highlighting the flavors of Hawaii. Their menu at Lollapalooza also included a Roasted Beet and Pineapple Salad with radish, spicy greens and Yuzu vinaigrette, and a Kalua Pork with banana bread, bbq sauce and crispy shallots.
Too bad I didn’t get a chance to check out the restaurant while I was in Chicago, but I hear their brunch is amazing!
