I’m a big fan of the oven. It does wonders. Baking fresh bread is a lot of fun. However, I’m not very skilled when it comes to mixing and kneading bread dough. Therefore, I decided to start simple. I went to consult the Pillsbury dough boy to some ideas. I’ve always enjoyed their premade croissant dough which comes in a refrigerated can. (Especially for making croissant dogs or, as others refer to it as, piggies in a blanket).
In the baking aisle, I can across this Pillsbury Quick Bread mix for banana bread. The directions looked very simple. Just needed to add eggs and water pretty much.
Baked for about 30 minutes.
I sprinkled some sliced almonds on top to give the bread a little extra something. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any fresh bananas. It would have been even better if I mixed in some sliced bananas.
This quick bread mix was great though. The bread came out soft and tasty. It didn’t taste too sugary or too sweet. Quick and easy banana bread.
