Pama Pomegranate Liqueur is presenting the “Pamalympics” bartender challenge this Monday, Nov. 26 at Pouring Ribbons in East Village, New York City. For every attendee, Pama will make a $20 donation to the U.S. Bartenders’ Guild’s fund to clean and restore NYC bars affected by Hurricane Sandy.

“This competition won’t test a finalist’s physical abilities,” says the event description. “But will see if they can taste the Gold by writing out the recipes of three PAMA cocktails in a blind tasting, get creative with a mystery ingredient and prove they’re the fan favorite after serving their qualifying cocktail to an audience of voters.”

James Menite (Crown Restaurant), Doug Miller (Culinary Institute of America) and Joshua Perez (Booker & Dax) will be competing for the gold medal prize of $5,000, silver medal prize of $2,000 and bronze medal prize of $1,000.

The event is from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. RSVP here.

Pouring Ribbons is located at 225 Avenue B.
