There’s a new item on the McDonald’s menu – Fish McBites. Think Chicken McNuggets but with fish instead. Tender, flaky wild-caught Alaskan Pollock in crunch bite-sized pieces. It’s the same kind of fish used in their Filet-O-Fish sandwiches. These bites are available in three sizes – snack, regular, and sharable. Enjoy it with their tangy tartar sauce or any one of the other dipping sauces you’d prefer.
The snack version comes with 10 pieces and about 250 calories. The regular version has 15 pieces and 370 calories. The shareable version has 30 pieces and yeah you can do the math. More nutritional information can be found on their website.
For the kids, McDonald’s also introduced a Fish McBites Happy Meal. It comes with 7 pieces of fish McBites, along with French fries, apple slices and choice of fat free chocolate milk, low fat white milk or apple juice.
I haven’t sampled them yet, but I think I’ll give it a try while it’s still on the menu. It will only be available for a limited time.
