Holiday Markets

Home New York City Holiday Markets

Here are some highlights from the University Place Fall Fair from earlier this month on Sat Nov 7th.

These light, deep fried dough balls are about 2 inches in diameter and topped with powdered sugar. Deadly and messy, but delicious!

Yona’s Gourmet Delights had a table filled with an eye catching selection of appetizers, quiches, and desserts. It’s a small family based business. They can be frequently found in street fairs and markets, and they also offer catering services. I couldn’t help not staring at those dessert cakes.

Tea and spice stand
I think it was the colors and the aroma that caught my attention. The table was filled with many, many bowls of amazing tea blends and spices. I picked up two little baggies: Chocolate Mint tea and Hibiscus tea.

On a related note… Mark your calenders for the Union Square Holiday Market!
The market will be open from Nov 25 to Dec 24. The hours are: Mon-Fri 11 am to 8 pm, Sat 10 am to 8pm, Sun 11 am to 7pm.

The Union Square Holiday Market is filled with lots of gift boutiques and food vendors. You can find imported and handmade goods, fine art, toys for all ages, delicious foods and beverages, baked goods, handcrafted jewelry, candles, clothing and more. I’m excited. I’ll be heading there to munch on foods and pick out a new hat for this winter.
