The German-American Fest, also referred to as the German Day Festival, is a three-day street festival happening Sept. 7, 8 and 9 in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago. The annual celebration of German culture will include the Von Steuben German Day Parade on Saturday at 2 p.m. at 4000 N. Lincoln Ave. (Irving Park & Lincoln Ave.). Opening ceremonies — which features an official beer-tapping ceremony –takes place Friday at 6 p.m.
