A Frontera Fresco on Northwestern University campus? Yep, and it’ll accept cash and meal plans too.
The school announced Tuesday that the casual Mexican gourmet restaurant will open up this fall (late October) on the ground floor of the Norris Center.
Frontera Resco, founded by Chicago celebrity chef Rick Bayless, is the fast food version of Frontera Grill. What’s great about Frontera is that they are committed to exclusively using local food and produce from farmers within a 100-mile radius of all locations.
The Northwestern University location will be the fourth Frontera Fresco in the country and first inside a college campus. The rest are all located within Macy’s in Chicago, Skokie and San Francisco.
