Lollapalooza’s Chow Town had a good selection of vegetarian options. One vendor in particular offered a complete Vegetarian/Vegan friendly menu. Crescent Foods is a family owned and operated food concession that offers gourmet vegetarian cuisine, prepared on site from local or organic produce. Apparently, they’ve worked many concerts and music industry events in the past years.
Their menu featured a Benevolent Burrito, Spinach Quesadilla, Portobello Wrap, and a Vegetarian Salad Wrap. Cheese and dairy ingredients can be excluded upon request.
First we ordered the Vegetarian Salad Wrap (pictured above), which had baby salad greens, cucumbers, diced tomatoes, guacamole, hummus, feta, yogurt dill dressing, wrapped in a tortilla. This salad wrap was delightful, both visually and taste. It had a nice balance of ingredients.
We also came back to try their Portobello Wrap, described as portobello mushrooms, onions, provolone cheese, cucumbers, diced tomatoes, lemon tahini dressing, wrapped in a garlic herb tortilla. Not sure what happened here, but this time the wrap was dry and unappealing. Should have just ordered the salad wrap again.
