Windowsill herb garden

I recently moved into a single floor of an old school two-family house. The cool part of living in a house is that there’s a mini back porch and a garage. I decided to plant a mini herb garden out in the back porch.

I bought a small kitchen herbs windowsill kit. I found it on clearance at the Bed, Bath, and Beyond store. It was a great deal. For a couple of bucks, this kit comes with a windowsill tray, potting soil, and a packet of seeds to grow basil, parsley, and chives. It looked like a great starter kit – much cheaper than buying everything separately.

I divided the pot into three sections and planted the herbs. About a week ago, there was this one rainy and windy day that totally wrecked one section of the pot. I haven’t figured out which herb got destroyed, but I can tell the middle ones look like chives.

It’s been about 1.5 weeks and I was very excited to see that they’re growing.

Nice post with several interesting information! Can’t say I agree with all you have written here, but there are a good amount of important suggestions you have emphasized that can be quite usable on gardening and related topics. Please continue providing more recommendations on this topic and related issues, as there are many out there like me who are trying to get to know the costs and benefits.
