The Korean Mobile Kitchen is driving around NYC serving FREE lunch, weekdays from 11:30am to 2:00pm, from April 18th through May 20th!
I found the truck on Canal St at Lafayette in Chinatown on April 28th. San Soo Gab Sun Restaurant, from Flushing, Queens was serving up samples of their tasty Japchae noodles.
The japchae was tasty. I’ve been to San Soo Gab Sun Restaurant a while back and I recall it being a pleasant experience. We were there for lunch and ordered their doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew with seafood and tofu) and bookuh kongnamul gook (dried pollack fish soup with bean sprout). I remember there being generous plates of banchan. They offer the option of black rice and there’s also Korean BBQ.
