Rockit Bar and Grill (22 West Hubbard Street) is holding its fifth annual “ChiliFEST” week starting this Monday, Jan. 21 through Friday, Jan. 25. This isn’t an actual festival but a celebration of chili by offering a different bowl of chili each day. Nonetheless, the menu should look appetizing to the chili lovers.
Here’s the lineup ($10 each):
Monday: Andouille Chili (Smoked andouille sausage, red bell peppers, black-eyed peas, tomatoes, aged white cheddar)
Tuesday: Bacon Chili (braised applewood smoked bacon, corn tortilla strips, chives, bacon sour cream)
Wednesday: Beef Chili (Cremini mushrooms, roasted portobello mushrooms, navy beans, truffle pecorino cheese)
Thursday: Pork Chili (Ancho braised pork shoulder, pinto beans, pico de gallo, queso fresco)
Friday: Chicken Chili (Chipotle braised chicken, white beans, cilantro, avocado salsa)
Vegetarian Menu (available each day, $10 each except for Chili Mac):
• Vegan Chili (lentils, soy sausage, edamame, bell peppers, cumin, tomatoes)
• Chili Mac (four cheese mac & cheese, turkey chili, shredded cheddar jack cheese) *$14
• Chili Cheese Fries: crispy french fries, turkey chili, cheddar cheese, jalapenos
