Pizza Patrón, the largest Latino pizza chain in the U.S., on Thursday announced plans to expand into the Chicago area. The first Chicago location, at 2313 Cicero Ave., will open by end of the month.
“We are excited to open our first location in Cicero,” franchise founder Antonio Swad said in a statement. “It is a perfect fit for our brand given 86 percent of the population is Hispanic, and 98 percent of the Hispanics living there are of Mexican heritage.”
Swad adds that he expects three more locations in Chicago area by the end of the year.
There are currently Pizza Patróns in California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Georgia and Florida.
