Mole de Mayo, now in its sixth year, celebrates the Mexican “mole” sauce and the Pilsen neighborhood on May 23 and 24 at South Ashland & West 18th St.
The festival features a cook-off between 15 restaurants for the best mole sauce. Attendees vote to crown a champion.
Hours are Saturday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free. The suggested donation is $5.
