McDonald’s TriState to Offer Select Non-Profits $5,000 in Funding

At the McDonald’s Taste of the Summer event the other day, I learned about “McDonald’s New York Metro Nutrition Network.” McDonald’s recently launched this community outreach initiative to provide funds to local organizations for grassroots nutrition programs in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Through the program, New York Tri-State McDonald’s restaurant owners are offering seed money to help local organizations bring nutrition information and guidance to their communities. Selected non-profits will receive $5,000 each in funding, which can be used for any project to encourage healthy eating and awareness, from developing a new website to holding workshops or classes.

Applications are available here and the submission deadline is June 1st. If you know of any non-profit organization that can benefit from this opportunity, please spread the word. For more information, visit their website or send them an message.
