Mm… donuts. Who doesn’t love the smell of fresh, warm donuts? What’s even better? Eating them of course! Chicago’s Do-Rite Donuts offers up to 20 varieties of classic and unique donuts, such as old-fashioned, Valrhona chocolate, candied maple bacon, jelly-filled, and peanut butter banana. They also have some baked, gluten free, and vegan donuts too.
Do-Rite Donuts brought two of their donut selections to Lollapalooza’s Chow Town North and we were thrilled to try them out.
We ordered one piece of each. They gently placed the donuts into a paper bag and as they handled it over to us, we could smell the wonderful aroma of warm donuts.
The old fashioned buttermilk donut was fantastic. The exterior was nice and crispy and great texture inside. One generously covered with sweet, sweet, cinnamon sugar. The other dipped with fine Valrhona chocolate.
I think I like the Valrhona chocolate one better, but that’s probably because I love all things chocolate. A cup of strong brewed coffee would go perfect with these donuts.
Do-Rite Donuts is located at 50 W. Randolph Street, Chicago, IL. Their donut menu offerings vary day by day.
