Happy Chinese New Year!
Xin nian kuai le! Gong xi fa cai!
Chuc mung nam moi! Cung hi phat tai!
This year, the Lunar New Years falls on Thursday February 3rd! That’s tomorrow! May the year of rabbit (or cat, in Vietnamese) bring lots of happiness, good health and prosperity!! And great food and tasty eats too, of course!
Here are some upcoming Chinese new year celebration events happening in NYC. The Lunar New Year parade in Chinatown is always fun. I’ve stopped by the event the past two years. It starts around Little Italy and goes through the main streets of Chinatown. It’s super crowded but very festive and entertaining! There’s pretty floats, dragon dances, performers, and happy people from local organizations and sorts. Don’t forget the firecracker confetti shooters and noise makers too!
