Chicago Good Food Festival 2013 at UIC Forum


The Good Food Festival hits Chicago’s UIC Forum this Saturday, March 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a huge lineup of exhibitors, workshops and special activities.

The festival features an exhibit hall of over 150 farms, local food artisans, restaurants and non-profits as well as food demonstrations with chefs Rick Bayless (10:30 a.m.), Carrie Nahabedian (11:45 a.m.) and Paul Virant (1:00 p.m.). Additionally, a Kimchi Challenge will pit chefs against one another at 2:15 p.m. The demos are included in festival admission price. There’s also a slew of workshops, but those require workshop admission tickets.

Tickets range from $10-$35 for advance tickets or $15-$45 at the door. Both The Urban Farm Bus Tour and Sandor Katz’s Art of Fermentation workshop are $90.
