On Thursday, August 4th, join The Korea Society in welcoming Marja Vongerichten, host the new PBS series The Kimchi Chonicles and wife of famed chef Jean-Georges, as she cooks and shares recipes from her newly released cookbook, The Kimchi Chronicles: Korean Cooking for an American Kitchen.
The cookbook, to be released on August 2nd, includes recipes for the dishes featured in The Kimchi Chronicles, along with original dishes with a lighter, modern flair. Marja reveals how revealing how the flavors of the Korean table can be readily integrated into any meal. Marja will share her thoughts on creating and adapting recipes and how The Kimchi Chronicles series inspired her to craft this beautiful new cookbook, which includes mouth-watering photos alongside her observations of Korean culinary culture.
Following the demonstration and talk, guests will have the opportunity to sample Marja’s delicious creations, pick up a copy of the cookbook, and meet her at a special signing of the new release.
