on

Spice blends are essential in the kitchen. With the right combination of herbs and spices, it can turn any simple dish into a flavorful and enticing feast. I recently received a collection of spices from Kitchen Crafted to sample and I’m excited to share some of the ones I’ve tried so far. Their BLND line of spices and rubs features globally inspired flavors, all natural, with no artificial ingredients or preservatives.

The Fire Up the Grill box features Bayou Catch, Fire N’ Lime, Kansas City Smoker, and Old Montreal spice blends. This is their essential kit for BBQ dishes and grilling. Each blend brings their unique spiciness and kick. There’s one for seafood, one for steak, a BBQ rub, and a cool lime and sriracha spice too.

The Savor Your Flavor box features Herbes de Provence, Italiana Cucina, Mumbai Masala, and Love My Chai. This box brings you classic Italian and French seasonings along with an aromatic Indian spice blend. There’s also Love My Chai which is a tea spice with cinnamon, cardamon, cloves, ginger, and sugar. It’s sweet, comforting and a wonderful in beverages, baking, and desserts.

Italian Cucina features oregano, basil, and thyme. This blend of Italian herbs is quite versatile and simply delightful for roasted vegetables.

Herbes de Provence features savory, rosemary, and lavender. I tossed some chopped white potatoes in this French herb blend along with green peppers, and onions. Very aromatic.

My favorite blend so far would probably be the Fire ‘N Lime. It’s a sriracha lime seasoning with paprika, lime, sugar and salt. It adds a very nice balance of heat, sweetness, and tang to the oven roasted corn on a cob. I discovered the other day that it’s also great on popcorn.
