Chicago Ale Fest 2015 Heads to Grant Park’s Buckingham Fountain 0

“Chicago Ale Fest” is coming to the Buckingham Fountain on Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20 with a focus on Chicagoland craft beers.

The festival is boasting over 200 beers from craft breweries in Chicago and the nearby area. Expect local bands and food trucks to round out the festival.

Admission, which includes drink samples, are $50 and $25 for drinkers and designated drivers, respectively. Limited discounted tickets available on Groupon.

This new venture is being produced by Lou Dog Events, the organizer behind the Naperville Ale Fests. Organizers of The Windy City Wine Festival, which also runs at the Buckingham Fountain, is also assisting the Chicago Ale Fest.

Chicago Cultural Alliance Presents World Dumpling Fest – Oct 7th 0

Chicago Cultural Alliance will be hosting the World Dumpling Fest on October 7th, from 11am to 6pm, at Millennium Park. There’s going to be cultural performances, artist booths, and of course, dumplings. The event will feature dumplings from Chicago area restaurants, serving up an international variety of foods wrapped in dough.

Participating restaurants include:

  • Tryzub Restaurant serving their Varenyky pierogi.
  • Ethiopian Diamond serving their Sambusas
  • Chow Bros. serving their gourmet pierogis
  • Himalayan Restaurant serving varies kinds of Momo.
  • Himmel’s serving the German dumpling, Spätzle.
  • Kamehachi serving a variety of shumai.
  • Sweet Station serving a variety of traditional Chinese dumplings.
  • Perfect Pasta serving different variations of Ravioli.
