Moonshine Wicker Park‘s Chilli Cook-Off is back for a fifth year Sunday, Nov. 3 with 16 pro and amateur cooks competing for the Gilded Ladle trophy.
And it’s up to the attendees to name the chef with the best chilli. The first, second and third place winners take home $600, $300 and $150, respectively.
What’s great about these annual cook-off series is that the events double as a coat drive. Tickets in advance is $5 with coat donation or $10 without a coat. Meanwhile, tickets at the door will be $10 with coat donation or $15 without. Attendees receive unlimited chili samples (while supplies last).
The Chilli Cook-Off takes place 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Moonshine’s parking lot at 1824 West Division.
