Festa Italiana, Chicago’s annual street festival celebrating of Italian heritage in the Little Italy neighborhood, happens this weekend Thursday, August 22 through Sunday, August 25.
Keep an eye out for the Meatball Eating Contest which tests contestants how fast they can consume eight Turano-Fontanini Meatball Slider sandwiches in two minutes. Also on the docket is “The Great Grape Stomp” on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and public stomping Saturday and Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
