Hot Toddy Recipe for National Hot Toddy Day

In time for the cold/flu season, here’s a Hot Toddy recipe to celebrate National Hot Toddy Day on January 11. The drink is comprised of honey, lemon, hot water and brandy (or whiskey/rum).

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz brandy (or whiskey or rum)
  • 1 oz honey
  • 1/4 lemon
  • 3/4 cup of hot water (or your choice of brewed tea)

Directions:

  • Mixing all ingredients in a coffee mug. Stir and serve. If you’d like to spruce up the drink, add three cloves and a cinnamon stick.

    Thanks for letting me know it’s National hot toddy day, and thanks for the recipe…I think I will have one right now before bed (I have all of the ingredients). I just got my flu hot today too.
