One of the featured items on Paddy Long’s food menu is “The Bomb,” five pounds of ground sausage, pork and beef wrapped in a weave of brown sugar bacon. The whole thing is slow cooked on a pig roaster so customers are asked to allow 30 minutes for food prep. “The Bomb” comes with potato salad or fries and feeds six to eight people.
Or if you’re adventurous (and maybe a little insane?), Paddy Long’s holds a “The Bomb Challenge.” One challenger has 45 minutes to eat the entire “The Bomb” including the side item. If the job gets done, he or she will receive a free t-shirt, a spot on the Paddy Long’s wall of fame and “The Bomb” is on the house.
