on

Did you ever dream of quitting your job and traveling the world? Well, the Bibimbap Backpackers did just that. Come meet these five travelers who journeyed to 4 continents, 15 countries, and 22 cities in over 8 months in pursuit of their goal of introducing Korean food by serving “100 tables” of bibimbap.

New York is the backpackers’ final destination and on Wednesday December 7th, these five travelers will be at The Korea Society to share their experiences through a discussion, led by Korilla’s Eddie Song. About the Moderator

Eddie Song. Graduating from college in 2008, in the midst of the recession and a terrible job market, Eddie decided to pursue his passion: Korean cuisine and culture. Starting with his dream and a friend, Chef James, Song began refining a fast-casual food business model, learning about the food industry, and attending a free 4-month cooking school. Realizing he could introduce more people to Korean cuisine by opening a food truck, Eddie launched Korilla in 2010. Korilla has become a New York City sensation and won the Rookie of the Year at this year’s Vendy Awards. Eddie did his own food road trip earlier this year on the Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race … but that trip was just one country!
