Congrats to Tina and Lauryn! Tina is excited to try the Mac and Cheese recipe and Lauryn is looking forward to baking some PBJ cookies! Enjoy the cookbook!

———-
Cookbooks are always great, either for inspiration or simply just to discover new delicious recipes. Last week, I was informed about Chef Rocco DiSpirito’s Now Eat This! Diet cookbook, which was just released last month, March 22nd. I wasn’t too familiar with the book, but I do enjoy checking out diet cookbooks now and then, mostly for their health conscious recipes.

This cookbook looked interesting. It’s about healthier recipes for your favorite foods with more nutrition and less calories, and eating smaller meals throughout the day.

Personally, I tend to eat 4-5 small meals throughout the day (probably because I’m a fan of snacking). Healthy eating and smart recipes are the way to go, whether you want to lose a few pounds or simply improve your diet. Of course, for serious weight loss eating is only part of the solution. Being active and exercising is also essential.

About the Now Eat This! Diet cookbook:

Going on a diet does not necessarily mean saying farewell to all of your favorite foods! Award-winning celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito changed his life and his health-without giving up the foods he loves or the flavor. He has lost more than 20 pounds, participated in dozens of triathlons, and-after an inspirational role as a guest chef on The Biggest Loser-changed his own diet and the caloric content of classic dishes on a larger scale. In Now Eat This! Diet, complete with a foreword by Dr. Mehmet Oz, DiSpirito offers readers a revolutionary 2-week program for dropping 10 pounds quickly, with little effort, no deprivation, and while still eating 6 meals a day and the dishes they crave, like mac & cheese, meatloaf, BBQ pork chops, and chocolate malted milk shakes. The secret: Rocco’s unique meal plans and his 75 recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and snack time, all with zero bad carbs, zero bad fats, zero sugar, and maximum flavor. Now readers can eat more and weigh less-it’s never been so easy!

Well, if you’re curious about the book, it’s available on Amazon as well as a number of bookstores all around. But wait… I’ve been provided with two signed copies of Now Eat This! Diet to give away to my readers!

Here’s how you can win your own signed copy of Now Eat This! Diet, signed by Rocco DiSpirito himself:

  • Comment on this post and share the following with us “Which recipe from Rocco’s Now Eat This! Diet Recipe APP would you try and WHY?” For example, some love the “Chicken & Cheese Poppers” because it uses whole wheat flour instead of regular flour.

This giveaway is open to US residents. Giveaway ends Mon May 2nd Fri May 6 at 11:59pm EST and two lucky winners will be announced on Tues May 3rd the following day. Winners will have 48 hours to respond to my email before new winner(s) are selected.

For now…
Find Chef Rocco on Twitter @RoccoDiSpirito, where he shares healthy tips and recipes from his latest cookbook and follow hashtag #NETDRecipes.
Also, check out his Facebook page for recipes, pictures, discussions and more.

Later this week, I will be sharing two recipes from the cookbook for you to check out so stay tuned. Cheers!

I would try the Loaded Potato Skins. They’re not really what I would call loaded, but they have corn chips as an ingredient and I think that would add an interesting flavor and crunch. The Green Tea Watermelon Super Punch is one I’ll definitely try; it just sounds delicious and is an unusual combination of ingredients.
