———-

Recently, Kikkoman contacted me about a special opportunity to try some of their new recipes using their products in preparation for a Thanksgiving dinner, complete with a juicy turkey and delicious sides. I was definitely very excited. I’ve never prepared a turkey before and this sounded like a wonderful time to try. With no hesitation, I agreed to participate in their “Kikk-ed” up Thanksgiving campaign and give their holiday recipes a try in a Thanksgiving dinner test run.

They sent me a box of Kikkoman products along with recipes for Savory Turkey Brine, Green Bean Casserole, Glazed Yams, and Panko Crusted Potato. I plan on cooking the mini-Thanksgiving dinner this upcoming weekend and will post about it soon after wards.

I browsed the recipes and they look quite simple. Cooking a turkey sounds a little intimidating, but it should be lots of fun. The Savory Turkey Brine uses Kikkoman soy sauce to ensure the turkey stays moist and flavorful. The Green Bean Casserole and Panko Crusted Potato incorporates Kikkoman Panko bread crumbs for a nice, light and airy crunch. The Glazed Yams uses Kikkoman Teriyaki sauce to make a sweet and savory side dish. More recipes and tips can be found on the Kikkoman site.

For now… here is a giveaway!
Kikkoman has offered to send one lucky reader two full sized Kikkoman products!

If you have leftover mashed potatoes from Thanksgiving, you can make really tasty potato patties by coating them in panko and then frying in a little bit of olive oil. Yum!
