Food and Drinks @ Lollapalooza 2010

It’s my last evening in Chicago! I was here the past week – exploring the city, eating well, and having lots of fun. The highlight from this past weekend was Lollapalooza! I went to Lollapalooza last year and had such a great time, I was very excited about this year’s event. Lollapalooza is a three-day event filled with music, food, freebies, goodies, and many fun activities. I was there on Sunday and saw performances by Company of Thieves, Chiddy Bang, X-Japan, MGMT, Cypress Hill, and Soundgarden. I was super exhausted by the end of the night, but I had a blast!

In addition to awesome music, Lollapalooza also has a great collection of tasty eats in Chow Town. Four star chef and MasterChef judge, and Top Chef Masters contestant from Season 2, Graham Elliot Bowles was the Culinary Director for this year’s Lollapalooza. He is the owner of Graham Elliot and Grahamwich, which is coming soon, right here in Chicago.

Chow Town was divided in to two areas, one on the Northside and the other on Southside of Grant Park, conveniently named, Chow Town North and Chow Town South. There’s about 30 food choices – returning favorites plus about 15 new restaurants.

For the upcoming week, I will be featuring some of the food and drinks from this year’s Lollapalooza culinary lineup. Stay tuned to see what we ate at Lollapalooza this year!
